Giving Equal Opportunity
Lighthouse Christian School serves as a beacon of quality education in Zambia. The school is located in the Northrise area of Ndola and caters for Grades 1-9. In addition, the school also has a reception/kindergarten class for toddlers. Lighthouse has modern facilities which allow students to fully enjoy the learning experience.
Many children in Zambia are unable to receive quality education and receive equal opportunities, simply because their families can’t afford the tuition. Lighthouse Christian School offers a Sponsorship Program which pairs orphaned and vulnerable children with a donor that pays for their tuition. The donors can be anywhere in the world, from Ndola itself, to outside the walls of Africa. Each donor is referred to as a Sponsor and each child that is paired to the Sponsor is usually fatherless. The sponsor not only receives updates on the child’s school performance but also the well being and other things.
This allows many children to become the person God created them to be.
We strongly believe that an equal opportunity can do so much for a child’s future. Since Lighthouse’s establishment in 2005, hundreds of children’s lives have been transformed. Many children arrive at Lighthouse with a timid personality and poor social skills, but because of the sponsorship program, they are able to receive a massive transformation. All these other aspects are equally important to the quality education they receive from a Christian school. The sponsorship program has helped students reach University level after graduating from Lighthouse Christian School.
